The vision for Maumelle's Family Fest came from one
man, Arkansas' premier concert promoter, Butch Stone. Stone
wanted to create an event that could be enjoyed by the entire
family. He knew that in order to accomplish this it would
require fun activities for people of all ages. In 2007 Stone
teamed up with the city of Maumelle to bring the first Annual
Maumelle FamilyFest to his home town.
The 2011 Maumelle FamilyFest is the 5th annual of
the event and it gets better every year. Because of the popularity
of the event Stone never has problems attracting sponsors for the FamilyFest. He is very creative and is constantly searching
for ways to improve the event. One of the most important
improvements is he has eliminated the admission fee. The event
is F*R*E*E to the entire family. Of course like all festivals,
some activities require a fee. Please check with each station
or company for game rules and age requirements to participate.
For information about the event or how you can
participate you may contact Butch at 501-744-2220 or email him at
